Mary E. Buettemeyer, 78, Stoy, Illinois passed away at 9:31 a.m. EST Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 17, 1932. She was the daughter of Claude M. Hanna and Ella (Dunn) Hanna. She was a graduate of Robinson High School Class of 1950. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included coin collecting, genealogy, refurbishing & collecting dolls and collecting sea shells from around the world.
On February 2, 1951, she married Charles E. Buettemeyer, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Mary is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Kim & Karen Buettemeyer, Bart William & Gina Buettemeyer and Kurt Buettemeyer; one daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Lynn “Cindy” & Vince Smock; four grandchildren, Caleb Buettemeyer, Ethan Buettemeyer, Amanda & Brian Morris and Seth & Megan Smock; seven great-grandchildren, Luke Morris, Jonathan Morris, Ella Morris, Ian Morris, Kreely Smock, Ashton Smock and Aiden Smock; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude & Beverly Hanna, Don & Kathy Hanna and Ronnie & Annie Hanna; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois .
